How AdSense bloggers can protect their earnings from AdBlock

AdSense, is Google's software to monetize your blog showing ads related to your content. It also uses the DoubleClick cookie to choose the advertisement according to your visitors preferences.

You have good content that creates an audience for your blog. And Google has advertisers looking for an audience. Lets make a deal!

Advertisers bid for keywords through Google's AdWords program to show their ads to people potentially interested in the product or service they want to advertise.

And Google pays to the writer of content for each visitor that clicks into the ad shown on his / her blog or website.

The creator of the blog gets some bucks for the time invested, and in exceptional cases very good bloggers can make a living of it.

The ads are generally adequate to the content and the system works very well for everybody.

But, one day happiness started to been blocked.
People started installing ad-blocker extensions into their internet browsers. Primarily to remove all the annoying flashy ads and pop-ups that distract you from the reading. Yes, I agree some ads make surfing the web a painfully experience for your eyes and concentration. But most of the AdBlockers also filter non invasive advertisement like most of the AdSense ads.

The solution is to educate consumers of content to allow some non-intrusive ads, explaining this is the way they'll continue getting free content. And educating advertisers to improve the overall quality of their ads so it doesn't create that strong refusal from the audience.

Lets work all together again!
