The Apple - Adobe Deal

What is the Apple-Adobe deal about?

When Apple decided to discontinue Aperture (the photo editing application for professional and amateur photographers) there was a hidden reason. Apple was developing the iPad Pro and wanted a version of Adobe Photoshop to run on their new device. Adobe will develop the Photoshop App to run in the professional iPad. In exchange, Apple will abandon of the photo editing app Aperture.

The result is a win-win situation for both companies. Adobe gets the professional and amateur photographer market, Aperture users will migrate to Lightroom. And Apple gets the graphic professionals into buying a more expensive device.
