EyeFi has released a software that will work with their X2 card (and previous) after the End-Of-Life date. The version available at the moment is for Mac and requires to uninstall their previous software (Eye-Fi Center), a version for Windows is coming.
Although not providing the same functionality, as FTP support being the most interesting feature for me, it will send files to a computer. This software will help to mitigate all the pissed off customers that bought the old models after the company announced that their cards will become unusable: Eye-Fi X2 End-Of-Life
